Welcome to the stammering stuttering blog
My name is Steve Hill. Welcome to the new blog for my highly popular "How to stop stammering and stuttering centre".
I was born in 1973 and four years later my life took a turn for the worse when I developed a stutter.
Despite attending speech therapy on a regular basis, the stutter seemed to become more severe.
Having a stutter caused me to have a very low self-esteem and a low level of confidence.
I am quite a determined character and always believed that one-day I would be able to eradicate the stutter and have a happy and fulfilled life.
Aged twenty-two, I decided to take the bull by the horns and fight back.
I had, what I call, demons in my head. If only I could kill all of these voices, that were convincing me that I was a failure, then I was sure my life would improve.
I worked extremely hard to overcome the stutter and to gain in confidence. After nearly a year I was able to claim victory in my war.
The stutter had been defeated once and for all and my confidence went through the roof.
I then started to help other people to stop stuttering and to increase their confidence.
On a personal note, I am a sports fanatic and am very much a family man. My two kids are now my main focus in life.
I hope you enjoy reading through all of the blog posts over the coming months and years.
