A Review Of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)

I have just arrived back from watching the new Harry Potter film. I went with my two children and their mother. Now this is an honest review of the film and not the type that you will read in your national newspaper that has been written by a forty-something adult, this is a children's film!

Let us start with the positives; there were some great graphics; at times it was quite funny and in stages it was quite sad.

Now for the negatives. Well I asked both of my kids what they thought of the film and these were the type of comments that they gave:

"It was very long" - older child

"There were not enough action scenes" - young child

"It was OK" - younger child

"I thought it was rather boring" - older child

There was a child a couple of seats away from me who was actually asleep with around twenty minutes to go; this really summed the film up for me.

This was purely a way of making money; the content of the film could have been condensed into thirty minutes. It was a real shame as we all love the Harry Potter films; NOT IMPRESSED!
