Can a stutterer achieve success in life?

It is has been well documentated that Winston Churchill, Joe Biden, Marilyn Monroe plus many other famous people have had a stutter. Negative people often attempt to mock their achievements, well I have never heard them stutter, they will comment. So I suppose Joe Biden just made it up did he? Why would he? The majority of Brits are well aware of the stutter that Churchill had and are very proud of what he achieved for our nation.

Churchill, like no doubt many of the others often listed as famous people who have overcome a stutter, was a winner, he was a positive person, somebody who worked hard and who was determined to succeed. These are the characteristics that I believe a person needs to be able to overcome this most frustrating speech impediment.

Can you imagine Churchill's response to the speech therapist who advised him that there was not a cure for stuttering or his response to the General who told him that we could not win the war?

Instead of mocking these people, surely they should be an inspiration to us.

I have been running speech courses for the last thirteen years. Many different types of people have attended the course, many of them who have been very successful, millionaires, professional sportsmen and top businessmen. This is despite the fact that they had a stutter. They did not achieve their success by luck, for example family connections. They achieved it through hard work and a positive attitude.
