Google Caffeine Update (Roll Out) Underway 2010?

A little off topic from the world of stuttering therapy however something rather major is happening in the world of "internet search" today.

Google UK search results are all over this place this morning. Many people believe that this could well be the start of the infamous Google Caffeine update. Some of the sites that are appearing in the top ten are very spammy and I am seeing a lot more sites from the United States compared to what there used to be, it is likely to take a few days and even weeks for the SERPS to settle down. I do not believe that the rankings will stay this way as this update, like the rest, is aimed at improving the search results and Google rarely screw it up.

My advice to those of you who are worried is to basically wait and see what happens - I personally would not even bother searching for where your site is ranked within Google at the moment; try again in perhaps a weeks time. There will be a lot of people stressing and fretting about the fact that their website is no longer in the top ten of the search results; the fact of the matter is that these changes are taking place and webmasters need to change their web promotion strategies to fit in with the new regime.

Keep Smiling!
