How To Increase Self-Confidence And Self-Esteem

I have had numerous issues that have affected my overall self-confidence:

1. A stutter

2. A bald patch

3. My weight

4. My height

I would find myself feeling rather down and depressed and believed that I had been dealt a rather poor hand of cards.

I did however refuse to accept second best and worked hard to increase my self-esteem. I had to learn how to become a far more care-free person. Why did I care so much about what other people thought of me? In the end it was because of a form of vanity I suppose.

I have now learned, after some time I might add, that it really does not matter what other people think of me, it is what I think that counts!

I personally think that I am a decent person. I care about other people, I try to do the best by people and try not to hurt other people. I live life with a smile on my face and work very hard. I am a very proud father and my children are my world.

I have overcome a stammer/stutter which is some achievement, especially due to the amount of people who tried to convince me that there was not a cure for stammering.

Despite having some difficult hurdles to overcome I have had a successful life and I am very happy. If therefore somebody thinks anything negative about me then that is fine, they are entitled to their opinion. I will listen to what they say, I may even act on their views, however I certainly will not worry or lose sleep due to it.
