Losing weight by jogging and doing sit ups
I am attempting to lose some weight and to get a bit fitter as I like to play a lot of tennis in the summer. I have been jogging every night for the last 15 nights; have been doing sit ups and a few weights. I have also been cutting down on my food intake. For me it is quite similar to the process of achieving fluency; very hard work, quite frustrating at times but the rewards are massive.
It is very early days but already the weight is starting to fall off me.
The fact that the exercise, especially the jogging, is so tedius, is actually a good thing as it helps me to refrain from eating fatty foods such as chocolate and crisps. The short term pleasure of eating all of those fatty foods is not worth the effort it takes to burn off the calories etc.
Becoming fitter and becoming a weight that I am happy at sure helps me to gain in confidence as well.
Here's to a successful summer playing tennis!
