Reduced stuttering in the summer

Here in the UK we have had our worst summer since records began with very few hot and sunny days. This is a shame for a number of people who stutter as I have been informed on many occasions that the warm weather some how helps their speech. Quite a few people have commented that they stutter far less in the summer than the winter.

I suppose it is a little bit do with confidence and your state of mind. Being able to relax on a beach or in a garden, with the sun beating down you, does help you to unwind and to think in a more positive mind.

The wind and the rain is a bit like doom and gloom. This may be the reason why, lets hope we have an Indian summer!
