Stuttering and Dating

Why would a girl ever want to date me? I am never going to get a girlfriend because of this speech impediment. I will probably never have any kids or get married.

This was the way my negative mind used to work – always thinking the worst.

Meeting girls was some what of a struggle for me, no doubt hampered by the negative approach. It was also due to the lack of overall confidence that I had – a confidence that had been eroded by the affects of stuttering.

In the end, when I did eventually start to date, I realised that the majority of women were not so bothered about the fact that I had a stutter – this was a great relief to me and I soon started wondering why I had been worrying so much.

I now have a fiancée and two gorgeous children and these people are my world. I am now very much the family man.
