Stuttering help

I often sought help for my stutter. The speech impediment had a major impact on my life, for example when trying to attract a girlfriend:

When meeting a girl that I was interested in there was always the initial period of what is often referred to as "chatting up". Chatting up when having a stutter is far from straight forward. First impressions count as they say.

Due to this nervous situation it was inevitable that I would stutter when attempting to talk.  Girls will often ask a large number of questions such as:

Where do you work?

How old are you?

Where do you live?

What music are you interested in?

I hated answering these type of direct questions as it would put me on the spot.

If, after this initial stage, the girl was still interested in me, which was extremely rare, I would then have further things to worry about; the first date, attempting to phone her, meeting her parents and meeting her friends.

All of this was often too much for me and life as a single person seemed preferable from time to time.

At the end of the day I did want a girlfriend and I was therefore desperate to find help to cure the frustrating stutter.
