Stuttering therapy for children
Q. Is your therapy suitable for children?
A. The one-to-one courses have proven to be very popular for children over the age ten. Children who are younger than this may find the course to be too intensive.
Q. Would you recommend the DVD or the speech course for my young child who has a stutter?
A. I personally would ask your child what they would prefer. If they do not want to attend the course then the DVD may be the best option.
Q. How much practice would my child need to do after the course?
A. The more the merrier however on average they should practice for at least two hours per day, this will enable the techniques that I teach (the speech rules) to become a natural part of their speech.
Q. How long will it take for my child to overcome their stutter?
A. On average it takes between three and four months to achieve fluency.
Q. Are we able to keep in touch with you after the course has finished?
A. Yes, I am happy to help in any way that I can for as long as is required.
