Stuttering Treatment Blog Interview Number Four

Paul purchased the download version of the seventy minute DVD in March 2009. Earlier this week he volunteered to be the fourth person interviewed:

 

Me: Hi Paul, thank you for volunteering to be interviewed, your speech has certainly improved markedly since the first time we spoke back in March.

 

Paul: It certainly has Steve and I have to say that it sure feels great to be able to talk with such freedom and confidence. This is why I suggested that I could be the fourth person that you interviewed for this blog – I wanted other people to know just how much it has helped me personally.

 

Me: Well it is much appreciated Paul. There are a lot of spammy type websites out there, as you know, and it is therefore hard for people to know who to trust/believe at times.

 

Paul: Well that is true but I am sure that ninety-nine percent of people realise that there is not a nine minute cure for stuttering!

 

Me: Yes you are right.

 

Me: I have spoken to you, I would say, on average four times a week since you purchased the DVD and have been impressed with your work ethic. In general and for the readers of this blog, how much practice have you put in etc?

 

Paul: Well I think you already know the answer to that question but again for the benefit of the readers of your blog the simple answer is – A LOT. I was very eager to “stop stuttering” and therefore have worked very hard to eradicate the speech impediment. As you quite rightly mentioned during one of our telephone conversations – hard work pays off.

 

Me: Well it certainly did for me and it certainly has for you.

 

Paul: Too right. Fluency is so important therefore I can not really comprehend a person who does not put in one hundred percent effort.

 

Me: Well thanks Paul, phone me in a couple of days for some more practice and a general chat etc.
