Well Played To The Blues Of Birmingham City!
My football team, Birmingham City , managed to secure promotion back to the Premier League on Sunday and I for one would like to say “Well done to the lads”. I and a great many of my friends have been on cloud nine ever since, I have seemingly had a smile on my face all week.
It was a tense final day of the season but we eventually managed to gain a 2-1 victory over one of our promotion rivals (Reading) to seal the return to the Promised Land.
Alex McLeish, the manager of Birmingham City, has worked a minor miracle in the face of adversity at times. He should feel very proud of his and his team’s achievements.
I will be travelling to watch the team play at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium next season, along with my Dad and young son – I can not wait.
It will no doubt be a tough season and we are likely to be fighting a relegation battle from day one but it sure should be fun.
